    Day 1 : ARRIVE DELHI

    Arrive Delhi, meeting assistance at the airport and transfer to hotel for overnight

    Day 2 : DELHI

    After breakfast proceed for the sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Full day sightseeing of New and Old Delhi. In New Delhi visit the 12th century Qutub Minar, gracefully hand- carved for its entire height of 234ft, and the iron pillar, which has withstood the ravages of time and not rusted even after 1500 years, the mausoleum of emperor Humayun, the imposing. Drive past India Gate (memorial to the Indian army soldiers who died in the World War I) the Rashtrapati Bhavan (formerly the viceroy's residence) and the Parliament House. Continue to Old Delhi. See the Red Fort (Red for remain closed on Monday) - a marvel in red sandstone, the Raj Ghat, - memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, the Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India. Spend some time in Chandi Chowk to savour the ambience of an oriental, crowded bazaar.   Overnight at hotel

    Day 3 : DELHI-LEH by flight

    Breakfast at hotel In time transfer to airport to board your flight 6E-193 for Leh; Arrival Leh Kushok Bakula Airport (This must be one of the MOST SENSATIONAL FLIGHTS IN THE WORLD. On a clear day from one side of the aircraft can be seen in the distance the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum and on the other side of the aircraft, so close that you feel you could reach out and touch it, is the Nun Kun massif.) Upon arrival you will met by our representative and transfer to Hotel for Check in. Complete day for rest and leisure to acclimatize followed by Welcome tea or Coffee at the Hotel.     Day 4 : LEH

    After breakfast full day monetary tour of Leh Stok Gompa - of Ladakh is situated at a distance of approximately 15 km to the south of the Leh town. It dates back to the 14th century and was founded by Lama Lhawang Lotus. Stok is a subsidiary of the Spituk Gompa and belongs to the yellow-hat sect of Buddhism Shey - It was the ancient capital of Ladakh and even after Singge Namgyal built the more imposing palace at Leh, the kings continued to regard Shey, as their real home. The importance which was attached to Shey - the seat of Ladakh's heartland - is attested by the enormous number of Chorten about the village, particularly around the palace complex and barren plain to the north of the road. Thiksey - is one of the largest and most impressive Gompas. There are several temples in this Gompa containing images, stupas and exquisite wall paintings. It also houses a two - storied statue of Buddha which has the main prayer hall around its shoulder Hemis - which is dedicated to Padmasambhava, what a visitor can observes a series of scenes in which the lamas, robed in gowns of rich, brightly colored brocade and sporting masks sometimes bizarrely hideous, parade in solemn dance and mime around the huge flag pole in the center of the courtyard to the plaintive melody of the Shawn.     Day 5 : LEH-TRAKTOK & CHEMRE-LEH 100 KMS INCLUDING SIGHTSEEING

    After breakfast; proceed to visit Traktok. Above the village of Sakti, is Traktok Gompa, the sole representative in Ladakh of the Nying-ma-pa, the most ancient religious order, but itself said to have been founded in the regain of Tshewang Namgyal in the 16th century. It is constructed round one of the innumerable caves in the Himalaya and trans-Himalaya where Padmasambhava is believed to have stopped and mediated during his journey to Tibet, and this forms the innermost shrine, while a little further down another cave serves as the kitchen. The small Du-khang has the usual paintings on the verandah, and on the inside walls recent murals, mostly of fierce divinities. A new temple was consecrated by his Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1980. Chemre was founded under the direct patronage of members of the ruling Namgyal dynasty. During the 16th century & was established at the instance of King Singge Namgyal, while his widow founded Chemre as a posthumous act of merit for him. The Monastery belongs to the Red Hat (Kargyud-Pa) sect of Tibetan monasticism. Return to Leh. Overnight stay at hotel in Leh

    Day 6 : LEH-NUBRA VALLEY 125 Kms / 4 – 5 Hrs one-way

    After an early breakfast drive to NUBRA VALLEY leads through KHARDUNG-LA the highest motorable road in the world at 18,390 ft, around 39kms from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Afternoon visit to Hunder village, Hunder is one of the remote villages in the Ladakh district of India's northernmost State of Jammu and Kashmir (Kashmir). Lying close to the border between India and Pakistan in the north-western part of Ladakh, the village of Hunder comprises settlers that include Ladakhi and Tibetans. Visit SAND DUNES to enjoy a camel safari (Optional on direct payment basis).  Dinner and overnight at the Camp

    Day 7 : HUNDER-SUMUR-PANAMIK-INSTA 80 Kms / 5-6 Hrs

    Open to foreigners since 1994, the valley of the Nubra now unveils its vast expanses of sand dunes silver-gray which range from beautiful oasis ("Nubra" means green). To the east flows the Nubra River, west of Shyok: they meet a little further south. These desolate landscapes, dotted with jagged peaks and Snowy Mountain passes, which were once traversed by caravans of camels carrying silk, spices and precious stones. Morning after breakfast drive to Sumur , Panamik. The 20 km drive from here to Sumur is scenic to say the least, with the views changing every few kms. Sumur’s main attraction is the 150 year old Samstening Gompa and apart from that the village itself is an oasis in the middle of a desert. Sumur – Panamik (20 kms): 20 kms down the road from Sumur is the village of Panamik, famous for 250 year old Ensa Gompa and hot water springs. This is also the last point tourists are allowed. Drive back to Sumur for overnight stay. If time permits, you may visit Samstenling Monastery, Next to the road at Sumur, which is 265 years old. Dinner and overnight at the Camp

    Day 8 : NUBRA-LEH 125 Kms / 4-5 Hrs one way

    Breakfast at the Camps, in time drive back to Leh On arrival check in at the hotel; rest of the day at leisure Dinner and overnight at the hotel

    Day 9 : LEH-LIKIR-ALCHI-LAMAYURU-KARGIL 230 Kms / 7-8 Hrs

    After an early breakfast we check out from the hotel and start our journey for Kargil enroute visiting Likir gompa situated atop a windy cliff top overlooking the beautiful village of Likir. Basgo is certainly the most impressive of Ladakhi citadels despite its ruined state. Then we drive and cross the River Indus and reach Alchi, Ladakh's most loved monastery and drive straight to Kargil over Fatu-la [13,489 ft] which is the highest pass on Srinagar - Leh road.     Day 10 : KARGIL-DRASS-SONMARG-SRINAGAR 204 Kms / 7-8 Hrs

    After breakfast drive to Srinagar en-route stop at drass for noon tea then cross height pass between Kargil and Srinagar national highway, Zojila. Stop at Sonamarg for photography and tea coffee for about 01 hour.. Continue your drive to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight stay in Houseboat at Srinagar

    Day 11 : SRINAGAR

    After breakfast at houseboat visit the famous NISHAT BAGH known as 'Garden of pleasure' built in 16th century (1633) by Mughal King Asif Khan. Then visiting SHALIMAR BAGH known as 'Garden of love' built in 16th century (1619) by Mughal King Jehangir for his beloved wife Noor Jehan or (Mehr-un-Nissa).Drive back to houseboat for hot lunch Afternoon visit to Old City Tour of Srinagar SHAH HAMDAN MOSQUE:   one of the oldest mosques in Srinagar originally built in 1395 by Sultan Qutab ud din in respect of Syed Ali Hamdani Rh Shah Hamdan played a major role in spreading Islam in the Valley with the help of 700 other saints who followed his from Hamdan in Persia. The mosque has breathtaking woodcarvings and fine papier Mache work. KOHI MARAN (Hari Parbat) 6 km Surmounted by an 18 the century fort constructed by Atta Mohammad Khan an Afghan governor. The hill is surrounded by a wall built by Akbar in Ad 1592 -98 Almond orchards used to be a favorite picnic spots for Kashmiri people in spring during blossom time. JAMIAMASJID The Jama Masjid at Nowhatta, in the heart of the old city, is the other important mosque in Srinagar at which thousands of people congregate for the Friday prayers. Of imposing proportions, the mosque is built around a courtyard and is supported by 370 wooden pillars. The hushed quiet of the mosque counterpoints the bustle of the old bazaars surrounding it. Originally built by Sultan Sikandar in 1400 AD, and enlarged by his son, Zain- ul- Abidin, it is a typical example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. Destroyed thrice by fire and rebuilt each time, the mosque, as it now stands, was repaired during the reign of Maharaja Pratap Singh. Dinner and overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboat

    Day 12 : SRINAGAR-GULMARG-SRINAGAR 56 Kms / 2 Hrs – one way

    After breakfast  at houseboat leave for full day trip to Gulmarg  (with Packed Lunch) (The Meadow of Flowers) at 2730 meters above sea level and which is one of the best ski slopes in the world. Gulmarg is also home to one of the highest 18 hole golf courses in the world and offers a splendid view of the Nanga Parbat Peak (the fifth highest mountain of the world) There is also a option for a short trip upto Khilanmarg by the Gandola cable car(optional).  Evening Shikara Ride on Dal Lake Dinner and overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboat

    Early morning drive to Jammu through famous Srinagar – Jammu national highway. Jammu  district  derives  its name from the city of  Jammu  which besides  being  the winter capital of the state, is known as  the city  of  temples.  It is believed that the city was originally founded by Raja Jamboo Lochan who lived in fourteenth century B.C.   The Raja had gone out one day for hunting when he happened to witness a tiger and a goat drinking water from one and the same pond.     Early morning drive to Amritsar is not only a historical or religious city, but also an industrial city with numerous small and medium scale industries.     Day 15 : AMRITSAR

    After early breakfast tour to Golden Temple is the most sacred temple of the Sikhs built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The lower portion of the temple displays white marble inlay work and the upper portion is embellished with copper coated over by gold plate. Devotees from all sects of life irrespective of their cast and creed come here to pay homage to the temple. The other attractions inside the shrine is the Guru Granth Sahib, the Holy Book of the Sikhs and the 24 hr running kitchen, which feeds about 10,000 pilgrims every day, the kitchen is run on a voluntary basis. Later evening tour to Wagah border; Wagah Border is located at a distance of 28 kilometers from Amritsar. It is the only border crossing between India and Pakistan. It is an army outpost to protect check intrusion from Pakistan and prevents any Indian from going to Pakistan. People visit Wagah border to see "Beating the Retreat" ceremony performed by the soldiers in evening. Soldiers from India and Pakistan perform a flag march evening back to hotel.
