    Day 1 : Arrive Kolkata

    Arrive Kolkata by flight, Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to hotel. HOTEL ROOMS ARE BOOKED FROM 1400 ONWARDS ON THIS DAY. Overnight at hotel

    Day 2 : Kolkata

    Morning sightseeing tour of Kolkata; Today the tour of this sprawling city begins with the Howrah Bridge; this bridge is built on river Hooghly and connects the city of Kolkata with the industrial town of Howrah. After which you are taken to the daily flower market to see the normal life of the common man with the different colors of flower. We now drive pass the Dalhousie Square where we see the Writers Building (State Secretariat), Raj Bhawan (Governor House), General Post Office Building, Kolkata High Court, Kolkata Town Hall and the St. John’s Church. We than move to the Victoria Memorial.  It is a massive domed building of white marble from Rajasthan.  It was inaugurated in 1921 by the Prince of Wales (later, briefly, Edward VIII).  It houses a collection of Victoria memorabilia and also history related objects and documents on Bengal. In the park in which the memorial stands are statues of Queen Victoria, Lord Curzon and other figures of the Raj.  Here, on weekends, people picnic, families meet for matchmaking, and transiting pilgrims bring flowers to the statue of “Maharani Victoria”. Afternoon visit the Missionaries of Charity. This is where Mother Teresa lies in peace, there is a photo gallery on the works and life of Mother. Next we visit Kali Temple. It is a great pilgrimage center of the Hindus and is situated at Kalighat. The original temple was built some 350 years ago. A legend goes that when the corpse of sati, wife of lord Shiva was cut into pieces by the Sudarshan Chakra, one of her fingers fell here. Overnight at hotel

    Day 3 : Kolkata – Bagdogra by flight Bagdogra – Darjeeling by surface

    Breakfast at hotel In time transfer to Kolkata airport and connect flight 6E-503 for Bagdogra, meeting and assistance upon arrival at Bagdogra airport and drive to Darjeeling, upon arrival check in at hotel Dinner & overnight at hotel

    Day 4 : Darjeeling

    Early morning visit Tiger Hill and Ghoom Monastery. Tiger Hill: - It is 13 Kms from Darjeeling and one can see beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turn golden. It is truly a majestic sight. Ghoom Monastery: - This is oldest Monastery in the area which was built in 1875 and one can see the image of Mythey Buddha 15ft. height on the way back from Tiger Hill. After breakfast proceed to the Darjeeling Railway station to enjoy World Heritage Toy Train ride up to Ghoom. Toy Train: - The spectacular landscape unfolds as the 2-foot gauge Darjeeling Himalayan railway, opened in 1881, labours at about 10 mph crisscrossing the road. It has tiny 4-wheel locomotives (some over 100 years old) like living legends. One can experience the sound, smell and romance of a bygone era. DHR is a work of genius and technological achievement of 1881. It has social and cultural importance. It is beautiful and has outstanding universal appeal. Based on its unique features, it is considered to be of lasting significance to mankind. (Departure Darjeeling 1040 HRS. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute/Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park: -The Himalayan mountaineering Institute was started in Darjeeling when Tenzing Norgay climbed Everest to give training to learn Mountaineering and other adventure sports related to mountaineering and in that Institute one can see equipment etc. used by Mr. Tenzing Norgay and Everest Museum having complete details on Everest attached to institute one can visit Himalayan Zoological Park where one can see Himalayan animals like Snow Leopard, Tibetan Wolf, Tibetan Yak, Himalayan Black Bear and several varieties of birds. Tibetan Self- Half Centre or Refugee Centre: - This institute is run by Tibetan Refugees to preserve their handicrafts and one can see making of Tibetan Carpets, Leather work, Paintings and Wooden work etc. Dinner & overnight at hotel

    Day 5 : Darjeeling – Pelling by surface

    Breakfast at hotel Morning in time drive to Pelling, upon arrival check in at hotel Afternoon visit Pemayangtse Monastery: - 2.5 Kms. from Pelling and standing at 2085m. The Perfect Sublime Lotus, perched on a wooded hilltop, commands the most sublime view of the Khangchendzong. Built during the late 17th century, it is one of the oldest and most important monasteries of the Nyingmapa order of Buddhism in Sikkim. To the present day, it is only the monks of this monastery who enjoy the title of ‘Tasang’ or pure monks. The importance of this monastery grew with time and reached its peak when only monks from this monastery could anoint the reigning sovereign of the land with holy water. Rabdentse- Sikkim’s second capital. The ruins of Rabdentse are worth exploring. The winding track through the forest brings you to a small set of ruins of the early town and eventually on the ruins of the palace with Chorten (stupa) nearby. Farther afield are the Changay Falls.     Day 6 : Pelling – Gangtok by surface

    Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Gangtok; En-route visit Rumtek Monastery Gangtok: -At an altitude of 1750 m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid-19 th century and has undergone rapid development since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a testing ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a traveler’s delight. Dinner & overnight at hotel

    Day 7 : Gangtok

    Breakfast at the hotel and full day city tour of Gangtok. During the city tour of Gangtok you will visit the Research Institute of Tibetology . It houses the largest collection of Tibetan scriptures and an outstanding collection of rare thangkas, bronzes and cult objects. In the accompanying park you can admire almost 450 different orchid species (flowering time - April/May). Afterwards, you will stroll through the colourful bazaar of Gangtok, visit the gate of the former royal palace and visit the Gylwa monastery. In the afternoon, visit Enchey Monastery . Not far from Gangtok, in the middle of a small forest, lies the monastery, built in 1840, whose monks belong to Mahayana Buddhism. Dinner & overnight at hotel

    Day 8 : Gangtok – Kalimpong by surface
